Fees schedule
This page is every fee on ClubTitan, in plain numbers. It forms part of the club terms. The core platform is free; ClubTitan is funded by a small fee on payments and by optional extras a club can turn on and off. Prices are [subject to change with at least 30 days' notice to clubs].
The platform fee: a standard rate of 0.72%
Our standard fee is 0.72% of each payment made through the platform — collected automatically as part of the transaction, calculated on the net amount after any discounts or credits. There is no subscription and no other charge for the core platform.
Refunds: we never profit from one
- Our fee is returned on every refund — in full for a full refund, proportionally for a partial one.
- The payment provider's fee is not returned — Stripe and GoCardless keep their processing fee on a refunded payment; that is their pricing, not ours.
- The club chooses who carries that cost, per refund: a full refund (the club absorbs the provider's fee) or a refund net of the provider's fee (the member carries it). The club's refund policy is shown to members before they pay.
- No separate refund charge on cards — Stripe does not levy a fee to process a refund; it simply keeps the original processing fee (above). GoCardless applies its own per-refund fee, at cost, shown in the table below.
The payment providers' own fees
Payments run through the club's own account with the provider, so the provider's published UK pricing applies and is charged by them, not by us. As a guide [approximate — the provider's current published pricing applies; to be confirmed before launch]:
| Method | Provider | Typical fee |
|---|---|---|
| Card (incl. Apple/Google Pay) | Stripe | ~1.5% + 20p (standard UK consumer cards) |
| Bacs Direct Debit | Stripe | ~1% + 20p, capped at £4 |
| Direct Debit | GoCardless | ~1% + 20p, capped at £4 |
| Pay by bank (Instant Bank Pay) | GoCardless | ~1% + 20p |
| Processing a refund | GoCardless | the provider's per-refund fee, at cost |
Clubs that connect their own Stripe account keep whatever rate they've agreed with Stripe — including charity rates where Stripe grants them.
Optional extras
- Premium website — £14.99/month, and free for any club taking £3,000 or more a month in payments through the platform. Includes up to 20GB of media storage. Turn it off any time.
- Custom domain— the club buys its domain directly from the registrar at the registrar's price; we never mark it up, and there is no fee to take the domain elsewhere.
- Media storage — every club gets 2GB free, and up to 20GB is included with the premium website. There is no separate storage charge.
- Premium AI features — priced per feature at cost plus a margin, always shown before you turn one on [prices to be confirmed at launch]. Core-essential AI is included free, and a club that brings its own AI provider key pays nothing for its usage.
- WhatsApp messaging — included with a fair-usage allowance; heavy volume beyond it is metered transparently [allowance and rate to be confirmed at launch].
- Facility and court bookings — a 50p booking fee (paid by the hirer by default; the club can absorb it, or add its own amount on top — the hirer sees a single booking fee) rather than a subscription.
Fundraising and shop
- Compliant fundraising formats and the club shop run on a revenue share, collected as part of each transaction and shown plainly before the club turns them on. The current rates: Spot-the-Ball 15% · 50/50 draws 15% · shop 8%. In the platform-run Titan Draw the club keeps 70%, and its share is always at least 65% — a floor enforced in our systems, not just promised here.
- A 50/50 is genuinely 50/50 — our fee comes off first, and everything that remains is split equally: the winner and the club take home the same amount. The split is stated on every draw page before anyone enters.
- ClubTitan never takes a percentage of a society lottery's proceeds — a club's registered lottery is the club's, and we are software only.
- Unclaimed prize value returns to the club's funds, never to us.
Switching clubs: the transition price promise
A club migrating from another provider won't pay more than it does now during the transition: our recurring fees are waived until the old provider's equivalent charges stop, and only payments actually flowing through ClubTitan carry the platform fee. To make the promise measurable, the club shares its old provider's charges (transaction rate and any monthly fee) when it migrates — that's how we track the real savings the switch is making.
Where a club chooses the optional white-glove migration (we do the work), the fee is £299 for a club with fewer than 300 members and £449 for a club with 300 members or more. It is not invoiced up front: it is collected from those savings as money flows, by adding 0.50% to the platform fee — so a club repaying its migration fee pays 1.22% of each payment rather than the standard 0.72%. The addition stops automatically the moment the fee is covered, and in any case after 12 months, when any remainder is invoiced. Self-serve migration is free.
VAT and changes
VAT treatment of our fees: [to be confirmed before launch]. Where prices change, existing clubs get at least 30 days' notice before a change applies to them, and anything a club has already paid for is honoured. This draft was last updated in July 2026.
